Mark joined Beacon Appraisal Group in 2020 and trained under Donnie Montagner as an Appraiser Assistant.  Prior to entering the appraisal field, Mark was the General Manager of Recharge Fitness in Bend.  Before moving to Bend with his wife Kara, Mark spent 9 years in law enforcement.  He and Kara enjoy traveling, backpacking, hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding.

After completing the requisite 79 hours of appraisal coursework, Mark became a Registered Appraiser Assistant with the Oregon ACLB in May of 2020.  In July of 2022, Mark passed his State Certified Residential Appraisal exam in one sitting and received his certification in August of 2022.

Mark’s specialties encompass multi-family properties, rural acreages, in town SFRs and new construction. He is also expanding Beacon’s tri-county coverage area into south Deschutes County/northern Klamath County, from LaPine to Gilchrist to Crescent. His attention to detail and thorough analysis make for solid appraisal products.
